JPG, PNG, WebP · processed in your browser

Flip Image is for a selfie that faces the wrong way, a scanned page that needs a mirror, or a product shot whose label reads backwards — when you want a reflection, not a 90° turn. It is a Local tool: JPG, PNG, or WebP (up to 20) stay on this device. The browser applies camera EXIF while decoding, then a canvas mirror runs left-to-right or top-to-bottom and the bitmap is re-encoded. Width and height do not change. PNG and WebP keep their alpha. This page does not rotate. For a quarter turn, use Rotate Image.

This tool is free to use.

How to flip images

  1. Add one to twenty JPG, PNG, or WebP files. Processing stays on this device.
  2. Confirm Flip is Local — the mirror runs in a Web Worker; files are not uploaded.
  3. Choose left-right or top-bottom. The same direction applies to every file in the list.
  4. Check one preview. EXIF is already applied, so the mirror is relative to the picture you see.
  5. Process and download one file or a ZIP. For a 90° turn instead, use Rotate Image. To trim pixels after the mirror, use Crop.

Flip image FAQs

Does the file leave this device?

No. Flip is a Local tool. Work runs in a Web Worker on your device and the file is not uploaded.

How is this different from Rotate?

Rotate Image turns the bitmap 90°, 180°, or 270°, and a 90° or 270° turn swaps width and height. Flip mirrors pixels and keeps the same width and height.

Can each photo use a different mirror?

No. One direction applies to the whole batch (up to 20). Split the set or run the tool twice when some files need the other axis.

What about EXIF and transparency?

The browser applies camera EXIF when it decodes the file. The mirror then runs on that upright bitmap. PNG and WebP keep alpha. JPEG and WebP are re-encoded around quality 90; PNG stays lossless.

Will a phone selfie stop looking mirrored?

Left-right flips the horizontal axis, which is the usual fix when a front camera saved a mirrored face. If the preview is also sideways, turn it first with Rotate Image, then come back here.

Need a crop or a smaller file next?

Frame pixels with Crop, scale with Resize, or shrink with Compress Image. Those stay Local. PDF pages are a different job: Rotate PDF.

Does this trace a vector or edit text inside the photo?

No. The result is the same raster, mirrored. Text that is already painted into the pixels reverses with the rest of the picture. It does not become editable text.
