About FileLabs

FileLabs

FileLabs is a free file toolkit for PDF, images, video, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Who: one brand site with shared navigation, no accounts, and no invented certifications. How: each tool is its own page; Local tools process in the browser, Cloud tools upload the file for that request and remove the server copy when the response finishes. Why Local vs Cloud: the browser path is used when quality is real on-device; a server engine is used when the job needs Office layout, archival PDF/A, OCR, HEIC, background removal, or similar work the tab cannot do well.

How FileLabs works

  1. Open the hub for PDF, Images, Videos, Word, PowerPoint, or Excel.
  2. Open the tool that matches the job. Each tool has its own URL and says Local or Cloud before you process.
  3. Add your file, set options if they are shown, then process and download.
  4. A video under about 100 MB stays on this device. A larger video is not accepted on these pages.
  5. Read About and Privacy for the same Who / How / Why facts that match the tool badges.

About FAQs

Who is FileLabs?

FileLabs is the brand on this site: shared TopBar and Footer across PDF, image, video, and Office hubs. There is no account, no contact form, and no third-party credentials claimed on this page.

How are files processed?

Local tools keep the file on this device in the browser. Cloud tools upload the file for that request; the server copy is removed when the response finishes, including when the job fails. The page always states which path you are using.

Why do some tools upload and others stay local?

A tool stays local when the job can finish at real quality in the browser. A tool uploads when the job needs a server engine—for example Office fidelity, a smaller PDF, a searchable scan, HEIC, background removal, image text, or enlarging a photo.
