Delete PDF pages is for a contract, scan, or slide export when a few sheets must go — a blank page, a cover you do not want to send, or an appendix the recipient should not see — and the rest of the file should stay in the same order on this device. It is a Local tool: one PDF stays in the browser; pdf-lib copies every page you did not mark and writes one new PDF. Type pages to remove, such as 2, 5-7, or tap page numbers when the file is short enough to show them. Unmarked pages keep their original sequence. This page does not reorder, rotate, or download a ZIP of single pages. It does not guess which pages are blank — you mark them. Bookmarks and fillable form fields are not rebuilt into the new PDF. To keep only the numbers you type, use Split PDF. To reorder or rotate while dropping pages, use Organize PDF. To shrink an image-heavy file afterward, Compress PDF uploads.

This tool is free to use.

How to delete pages from a PDF

  1. Add one PDF. Processing stays on this device — the file is not uploaded.
  2. Confirm Delete PDF pages is Local — pdf-lib drops pages in a Web Worker; the file is not uploaded.
  3. Mark pages to remove: type ranges such as 2, 5-7, or tap page numbers. Those pages are deleted. Unmarked pages stay.
  4. Process. At least one page must remain. The new PDF keeps the original order of the pages you kept.
  5. Download the PDF and check the preview. Keep a typed subset with Split PDF, reorder with Organize PDF, or stack files with Merge PDF — those stay Local. Browse sibling jobs on the PDF hub.

Delete PDF pages FAQs

Does the file leave this device?

No. This is a Local tool. One PDF is edited with pdf-lib in a Web Worker on your device and is not uploaded.

How is this different from Organize?

This page only removes the pages you mark. The pages you keep stay in their original order, and nothing is rotated. Organize PDF reorders, rotates individual pages, and can drop pages in the same grid.

How is this different from Split?

Split PDF either writes every page as its own PDF in a ZIP, or keeps the page numbers you type in one file. This page does the opposite of that range mode: the numbers you type are removed, and everything else stays in one PDF.

Can I delete every page?

No. At least one page must remain. If the field is empty, or every page is marked, the job stops with an error before it writes a file.

Does it find blank pages for me?

No. You mark the pages to remove. The tool does not scan for blank or near-blank pages.

Are bookmarks and forms kept?

No. The result is a new PDF that copies the pages you kept. Document bookmarks and fillable form fields are not rebuilt. What was already drawn on those pages stays.

What if the PDF asks for a password?

Open it first with Unlock PDF when you already know the password — that stays Local. This page does not guess a forgotten password. After you download, lock the shorter file again with Protect PDF.
